Greenwich Strategy is a small consulting firm that works for a select clientele of corporations and investors. Greenwich Strategy was founded in 1997 by Chris Fay, who has been a strategy consultant his entire career. Prior to starting Greenwich Strategy, Fay was with The Parthenon Group (a Bain & Co. off-shoot), and before that Bain & Co. Fay is a graduate of Brown University and Harvard Business School.

Greenwich Strategy supports better decision making by conducting superbly high quality research and analysis of industry, customer and competitor topics.

By comparison to other consulting firms, Greenwich Strategy is distinguished by an unrivaled degree of senior, partner-level involvement in day to day work. While other strategy consulting firms delegate to junior staff such tasks as customer & competitor interviews, or market modeling & analysis, partner-level people at Greenwich Strategy perform these critical functions. In fact, Fay plays an active role in every assignment. The upshot is a far more effective consulting engagement—higher quality analysis, deeper insights, more practical logic, and more robust recommendations.

On the corporate client side of our business, we will only work for one participant in an industry; our mission is to help our clients win.

On the investor client side of our business, we are best suited for fundamental investors who derive an edge from rigorous primary research and independent, thoughtful quantitative analysis. Our core investor clients are leading, middle market private equity investors.

It is our conscious strategy to stay small, in order to maximize the effectiveness of our work, and ensure the sustainability of our competitive edge. From time to time we accept new clients, but as a rule, we do not have capacity to accept new clients.
